GRAPHIL PROJECT: INNOVATION IN WATER TREATMNET FILTERS

Project Objective
Graphil aims to revolutionize the field of domestic water treatment and portable purification devices. Our main objective is the production and commercialization of safe and innovative filters, using graphene and advanced materials, to effectively meet the current needs of the market and society.

Addressing Emerging Contaminants
Our products are designed to tackle the challenge of emerging contaminants (EC) in water resources. These include molecules such as pesticides, pharmaceuticals, perfluorinated compounds (P-FAS), disinfection by-products, heavy metals, and new pathogens. These contaminants, increasingly present, pose a threat to public health and show resistance to traditional purification technologies.

Advanced Technology
We use graphene in combination with hollow fiber membranes to develop cutting-edge filtration solutions. This approach enables the creation of membranes that offer both adsorption and filtration capabilities, significantly improving efficiency in removing contaminants.

Project Outcomes
The three-year project, completed in December 2023, resulted in the development of an ultrafiltration membrane in polysulfone enriched with graphene oxide. This innovation effectively combines filtration and adsorption, marking a significant advancement in water treatment.

Graphil stands for safety, innovation, and commitment to cleaner and safer water for everyone.
